Codettes | Solos and Private Lessons
The Codettes program is specifically tailored toward dedicated students who wish to perform in solo competitions and enhance their skills through private lessons. The Codettes are an elite group of dancers selected to represent CODE in Competition Crews as well as in solo/duo/trio performances and competitions throughout the year.
With a strong individual focus on the student’s technique and development, the Codettes program provides students the opportunity to be exposed to various dance genres and develop strong underlying technique needed to succeed as established dancers. Through this program, students learn to be well-rounded performers and as well as being equipped with the essential life skills such as self-motivation, organisation, focus and goal setting.
As one of our Codettes, students will get access to:
- Weekly private lessons to develop their dance technique and learn solos to be performed at competitions
- A one-on-one development and goals session at the beginning of the year to set a development program and target the private lessons to accelerate their dance journey.
- Check-in sessions between terms to gauge progress, refine goals and tailor private lessons for the rest of the year
- Costume hire for all solos performed at competitions through the year

Mini Codettes (Grade 3 & Below)
The Mini Codettes is a program specifically tailored for dedicated and passionate younger students who wish to perform in Competition Crews as well as solos, duos and/or trios in competitions and performances throughout the year. With a strong individual focus on the student’s technique and development, the Mini Codettes program provides students in Grade 3 and below the opportunity to be exposed to various dance genres and develop strong underlying technique needed to succeed as established dancers.
Mini Codettes are required to attend 3 classes and a 30 minute private lesson minimum:
- At least 1 Competition Crew
- Ballet
- 30 minute weekly private lesson
- Another class of the student’s choice
Entrance into the Mini Codettes program is by audition only.

Codettes (Year 4 & Above)
The Codettes program is specifically tailored toward dedicated students who wish to perform in solo competitions and enhance their skills through private lessons. The Codettes are an elite group of dancers selected to represent CODE in Competition Crews as well as in solo/duo/trio performances and competitions throughout the year.
The program offers students the opportunity to learn a variety of dance genres, receive weekly teacher training (available for students in Year 9 and above) as well as extra performance opportunities. Through this program, students learn to be well-rounded performers and as well as being equipped with the essential life skills such as self-motivation, organisation, focus and goal setting.
Codettes are required to enrol in 5 classes and a 30 minute private lesson minimum:
- At least 2 CODE Competition Crews
- Ballet Conditioning or Ballet
- TKJ
- 30 minute private lesson
- Another class of the student’s choice
Entrance into the Codettes program is by audition only.
