General Costume, Shoes, Tights, Hair & Make up information

All students are required to arrive at the venue with their hair and make-up (no lipstick) done for both the dress rehearsal and the concert. If you are unable to do any of the specified hairstyles, please arrive with your hair straightened and all the necessary hair accessories outlined on the pictured checklist and we will allocate someone to help you.

We are thrilled to provide our CODE Performance Kits! These kits have been designed especially for CODE students to make it easier for parents and families in the lead up to the concert. Costumes:
Teachers are responsible for bringing costumes to and from the venue and will distribute costumes to students at the concert. Students should neatly fold their costumes and return them to the allocated bag before leaving the venue.

Tights and Shoes:
All dance shoes and tights for the CODE concert must be purchased from Energetiks except for shoes required for Hip Hop dances. Please see the table above for specific tights and shoes required.

We believe that it is important for students to have the same shoes/costuming as it provides students with a sense of unity and team spirit and ensures that students are performing in gear of good quality that will enable safe dance practices. When purchasing shoes or tights, please let the Energetiks staff know that you are from CODE as they will be able to confirm that you purchase the correct footwear or tights for your specific classes.

To view the Tights & Shoes that your child will need for the Concert, please see above

Underwear:
Students are required to wear nude/flesh coloured underwear and bras for all performances. A supportive nude coloured bra that has adjustable nude or clear straps is recommended to ensure that no underwear can be seen through the costumes.

Hair:
To view the Hairstyles that your child will need for the Concert, please see above. Please ensure that you use hairspray and/or gel to make sure there are no ‘wispy bits’ in your hairstyles. If you are unsure of how to do the required hairstyle, please chat to your class teacher and they will give you some tips!

Make-up:
Please ensure that students arrive with full stage make-up. This includes the following:

  • Foundation (Foundation should match the students’ skin tone)
  • Small Amount of Blush
  • Bright Red Lipstick (Only apply after putting on a costume)
